As a colorist painter with an extensive background in art history and painting techniques, I search for a balanced interaction between color, shape and material. My paintings are reflections of my profound interest in Daoist and Buddhist philosophy and my connection to nature. Recently I have discovered Bel canto as a source of joy and inspiration for my paintings.
Studies of calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou and a residence at the Art Students League in New York have expanded my repertoire by exploring the fusion of Western and Chinese techniques, materials and compositions. Born in Vienna I consider myself a humanist cosmopolitan. For me IT was an important tool to make up for the restrictions due to the pandemia.
